Donna Bon Vivant (Flynn Pryor), a college student, has to
complete an assignment on the 14th Century for her African American
Lit Class. She chooses as her subject matter Alexander Dumas "The
Three Musketeers". While reading the book she falls asleep
and dreams the zany adventures of "The Threee Muscatels".
All the chatacters in her dream are students from her lit class,
her family and people she encountered that day, including a drunk
named Russell (RICARD PRYOR) who was drinking Muscatel wine.
As her dream unfolds, Donna and her father are being chased by
group of Spanish bandits, led by their notorious leader, JUAN PEREZ.
Before he is captured and eventualy killed, he gives Donna a medallion
which has been broken in half. He tells her that his best friend
who has not been seen in over twenty years, Victor Longford, CAL
WILSON, has the other half. The madallion was given to them before
Donna was born by her grandfather King Nacho REYNAIDO REY. The King
told them that they should keep their half of the madallion until
the King's death then when the two halfs are joined together it
would unlock the door to vat riches
